BTX Cares: Making a Difference in Local Communities

BTX Global Logistics has always prided itself on being a good corporate citizen and giving back to local communities through the "BTX Cares" program is a core mission of the Company.

Throughout 2023 and the beginning of 2024, BTX was involved in several community outreach initiatives in the form of donations as well as community involvement. Many of these initiatives and organizations have been supported in some way by BTX for many years.

Below is a summary of some of BTX's most recent BTX Cares activities:

  • Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation (HARF): In September of 2023, BTX partnered with the Animal Rescue Foundation20230911_141414 (ARF) in Wheaton, IL, to procure and deliver much-needed prescription medications and vaccines toIMG_0748(1) the Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation to treat and support the animal victims of the fires in Maui.
  • IMPACTrumbull School Supply Drive: In August of 2023, BTX collected school supplies to benefit the children at The Center for Family Justice and the Hall Neighborhood House in Bridgeport, CT. IMPACTrumbull supports the local community through hands-on monthly collections and projects.
  • Spooner House Food Drive: In November of 2023, BTX collected non-perishable food items to benefit Spooner House in Shelton, CT. The program helps feed families in the community that struggle with nutritional and financial insecurities.
  • Yale New Haven Hospital's Toy Closet Program: In December of 2024, BTX staff members donated new toys for Yale New Haven Hospital's Toy Closet Program for the ninth consecutive year. Toys from the closet are given to sick children to help ease their stay while being treated at local Connecticut hospitals. 
  • Bridgeport Rescue Mission Winter Coat Drive: In January of 2024, BTX collected winter coats and accessories to benefit the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. This organization provides vital services to adults and children who face homelessness and addiction.
  • Heart to Heart: To coincide with Valentine's Day in February of this year, BTX employees created handmade Valentine's Day cardsLordChamberHeart2heart which were presented to the patients and staff at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford, CT.  The cards were distributed by BTX employees to the residents during their Valentine's Day Social along with cupcakes and cookies for the patients and staff. The facility provides short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term, end-of-life, and compassionate care for residents with chronic illness, dementia, and other conditions. 
  • Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County: In March of 2024, BTX will be hosting Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County's annual Job Shadow Program for the second consecutive year. BTX employees will share business knowledge and advice with high school students to help mentor and prepare them for the future. Working with youth to help future generations become successful is one of BTX CEO Ross Bacarella's many passions.
