BTX Cares: Five Ways BTX is Sharing the Love this Valentine’s Day

Giving back to communities near and far has been engrained in the BTX Global Logistics culture since it’s very inception. In 2018, BTX Cares was created to make this part of BTX’s core values official and help advance the company’s philanthropic efforts. From specialty drives (i.e. food, clothing, toys) to monetary donations and in-person activities, BTX has supported a wide range of organizations in different ways throughout the years.

While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has upended annual routines and made in-person involvement in local events difficult, BTX continues to find ways to give back. At the end of 2020, BTX asked its loyal customers to share the names of their most treasured causes and charities that could use some extra love during these challenging times. Thanks to the feedback and involvement of BTX’s customers, five trusted charities and non-profit organizations were randomly selected to win a total of $2,500 for Valentine’s 2021.

“Since we couldn’t engage in many of our regular drives this year due to COVID, we wanted to find new and creative to make a difference,” said Katie Bacarella Zap, Manager of Corporate Relations for BTX Global Logistics. “We are very excited to thank our customers this Valentine’s by donating to the charity of their choice in their honor.”

While the customers themselves will remain nameless, BTX is proud to “share the love” with the (5) incredible charities below via a $500 donation to each of them:

American Diabetes AssociationAmerican Diabetes Association (ADA) is a non-profit organization that seeks to educate the public about diabetes and to help those affected by it including fighting for affordable medical care, medication, and supplies and offering life-changing programs that help those living with diabetes learn how to manage the disease.

Breast Cancer Research FoundationBreast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is a non-profit organization committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. BCRF provides critical funding for cancer research worldwide that fuels advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship.

The Dog Humane SocietyThe Dog Humane Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for thousands of animals every year. Together with millions of supporters, the Humane Society works to fight all forms of animal cruelty including fur trade, trophy hunting, animal cosmetics testing, and other cruel industries.
