Shelton, CT – BTX Global Logistics, a worldwide shipping and logistics organization headquartered in Connecticut, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin J. Capuano, its current Chief Financial Officer, as the new President of the Company effective today.
BTX's former president, Rosario “Ross” Bacarella, will continue to lead the company as its Chief Executive Officer while delegating some of his responsibilities to Capuano.
“Marty is a phenomenal person who has been instrumental in the growth of the organization,” said Bacarella. “His honesty, integrity, and commitment to BTX make him the perfect person for this new role. We are very lucky to have him.”
Capuano, known to friends and within the BTX network as Marty, has been BTX’s Chief Financial Officer since 2016. He has worked in the logistics industry for the past 23 years and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) prior to that. Capuano is a graduate of Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, in New York and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
“I am humbled to be taking on this new role with BTX,” said Capuano, now BTX President and CFO. “I look forward to continuing to support our 37 regional branches and team members, diversifying the business further, and continuing to improve our systems and processes.”
As president, Capuano will be focusing on the growth of the Company in addition to overseeing the Financial Department.
