A letter from BTX President on the impact of COVID-19

Dear Valued Customer,

In light of the recent escalation of concern over the Coronavirus (COVID-19), BTX Global Logistics wants to take this opportunity to assure you that the BTX Global Logistics Management team has taken steps to ensure that BTX is prepared to continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers and continue critical business operations given any situation. We value you as a customer and are ready to support you as a logistics partner during this time.

BTX Management has implemented a Communicable Disease Business Continuity Plan that addresses the Company’s plan to deal with varying phases of a potential Coronavirus outbreak while at the same time assuring the health and well-being of its employees.

While President Trump’s announcement last night, March 11, with regard to the travel ban to the Schengen countries of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland may raise some concern regarding international shipping, carriers will still be flying cargo aircrafts.

Summarized below are BTX’s strategies to effectively navigate this situation:

  1. Utilization of all-cargo aircraft within the marketplace
  2. Ability to use the UK (LHR) as a gateway into the EU using T1 transportation (while the UK remains open to passenger flights)
  3. Ocean services to all points in the EU including US trucking to the New York for faster transit times

We will continue to monitor the developing events and provide all service offerings available based on current conditions.

Wishing you the best of health,

Rosario Bacarella
President & CEO, BTX Global Logistics
